I thought I would give a listing to some of the eating and drinking places near and dear to us.  Southbourne is situated in such a wonderful place that’s close enough to Bournemouth’s town Centre and all the surrounding towns and forrests as well as the beaches that just go on and on and stay uncommercialised and in effect a natural nature reserve where one can walk or just sit down quietly and take in the view.

Commodore Pub :  Southbourne Overcliff Drive,

Panoramic sea views serving real ale, good value menu, beer garden Live music at week-ends (pet friendly both inside and out)

 Spyglass & Kettle Pub : 25-27 Stourwood Ave, Southbourne

On cliff top with garden (pet friendly in gardens only) serving good value menu and drinks

 Café Riva – Boscombe Overcliff Drive, Southbourne

Located on cliff top with amazing views, fully licenced with varied menu.  Italian food served in the evenings and special pizza offers  Fully licenced.

The Ludo Lounge 34 Southbourne Grove (High St)

Popular café/bistro, fully licenced with a cosy relaxed and informal atmosphere.  Good menu (especially the home made burgers) & tapas menu with specials on Tuesdays. Excellent coffee  & prices. Monday nights is quiz night

Deli Rocks  –  23 Southbourne Grove

Fabulous Italian Deli & Espresso bar in the High St in Southbourne.  Serving fresh local food, snacks and pizzas all cooked while you wait.  Well priced menu with great variety

L’Assiette – 141 Belle Vue Rd, Southbourne

Lovely local & fresh produce with great variety.  Menu is changed fortnightly offering traditional English-French dishes with weekly specials

The Larder House – 4 Southbourne Grove 

Wood fire oven restaurant & bar with top quality food and menus that are always changing. Enchanting garden with fairy lights wood burners to sit around and just have a drink. Now serving special  coffees in the daytime.

Well worth going there for a treat

Serve real ales.  Dog friendly pub & garden area.  Live music at weekend. Sky sports
